I had a good string of stuff going for about 2 weeks there, but I have yet to do anything new. Even though I had one whole glorious fucking week off for spring break, I didn't have much time seeing as most of it was taken up by a dammed internet history class. Now the concept of an online course is great, but this one is not. The reading is utterly retarded, half the time the teachers "lectures" are literally copied and pasted from the book material. Along with that the teacher is a prissy little bitch whom you can't seem to satisfy. He tells me to put in more into about a certain person, after I literally go through each fact that is listen and write it out leaving nothing else to put in. But anyway, enough of that I am finally done with such inane retardation... I shall be putting more stuff up soon. Hopefully more rants including an extra special verbal stoning of the film Nancy Drew. (All of course if my FTP programs work properly and I can upload a fucking file)

Fuck you all,

But I must say I was pleasantly surprised when it was done. Carrey does a good job here. Wouldn't compare him to Robin Williams just yet, but maybe if he does some more serious dramatic work he might be good. As for the story, I am usually very good at predicting story lines and I will say the twist did get me at the end. Other people say its nothing but a little pop, but I think that little pop was just all it needed as opposed to a huge mind-f**k. Overall it's a good watch, and the bonus features on the disk are also very interesting to watch.

IMDB LISTING

<ins>Movie Info:</ins>
Length:98min

<ins>Director</ins>
Joel Schumacher

<ins>Cast</ins>
Jim Carrey
Virginia Madsen
Logan Lerman
Danny Huston
Lynn Collins

The film seemed like a wine, with time it got better. In the beginning I was very close to just turning it off, but as it progressed it gained a lot back. The acting was par for this type of movie with a few characters being utterly annoying EX:the blond hatian dude who's accent made me want to cry. But this was evened out by the better actors. Overall I would say the film is watchable but wont be going back to it anytime soon. It had a lot of potential to be a great film but it just seemed like it was lacking in many areas.

IMDB LISTING

<ins>Movie Info</ins>
109min

<ins>Director:</ins>
Shane Abbess

<ins>Actors</ins>
Andy Whitfield
Dwaine Stevenson
Samantha Noble
Erika Heynatz
Michael Piccirilli

Now I rented this expecting a good silent film. What I got when I watched it was utterly amazing. I had heard this was good but expected it to be from a relative view. This film for its time, and even for now is a fantastic feat. The acting was supurb (as far as silent acting goes) but what really gets you is the breadth of the film. The technicality of it was simply fantastic, the sets, the innovative cinematography, even down to the Lang's choice of turning the "worker" people into mechanical types was great. It is easy to see how every sci-fi movie takes something if not a good deal from this movie even if they don't realize it. Great watch, and will watch it many more times.

<ins>IMDB LISTING</ins>

<ins>Movie Info</ins>
153 min

<ins>Director:</ins>
Fritz Lang

<ins>Cast</ins>
Alfred Abel
Gustav Fröhlich
Rudolf Klein-Rogge
Fritz Rasp
Theodor Loos
Erwin Biswanger
Heinrich George

The acting is good, and the story is a good one. The playing out of the film is what made me give it a 3 star. Even though the film is only 1h:40m it felt like it was really dragging on and on and I found myself want the end to come much faster. I enjoyed the movie but felt it could have been as much as 20-30 minutes shorter. The events are somewhat anti-climactic and needed some more vigor. I wouldn't recommend the film for a casual movie goer but for a film buff its a good watch simply to appreciate old film.

IMDB LISTING
<ins>Movie Info</ins>
Length: 99min
<ins>Director:</ins>
François Truffaut

<ins>Cast</ins>
Jean-Pierre Léaud
Claire Maurier
Albert Rémy
Guy Decomble
Georges Flamant
Patrick Auffay

I'm sure other movies have tried but primer in its simplicity creates a movie that is an utter mind Fuck. The cinematography was simple and elegant, and the dialogue was intensely real. The acting was superb and I must applaud Carruth for getting the characters to express such a true range of emotions for their situations. This is a must see for anyone who loves sci-fi, or logic for that matter. This is a movie I could watch 50 times and still figure out more each time. Must see. If you enjoy sci-fi flicks you'll dig this one. It is sci-fi in a reality based world.

IMDB LISTING
<ins>Movie info</ins>
Length:
77 minutes
<ins>Director:</ins>
Shane Carruth

<ins>Cast:</ins>
Shane Carruth
David Sullivan
Casey Gooden
Anand Upadhyaya
Carrie Crawford
Jay Butler
John Carruth
Juan Tapia
Ashley Warren
Samantha Thomson
Chip Carruth
